HRIS Analyst

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: The position is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Workday HCM (Human Capital Management) system in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS function.  The individual in the position serves as a technical/functional point-of-contact for the HR users and related business groups. The position assists in ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, and the organization and display of data in support of department and organization needs.

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Assist HRIS Manager and HR team with development of new enhanced functionality which includes reviewing enhancements and functionality provided by Workday and other HRIS software; coordinating learning/update sessions with HR team to alert them to changes and enhancements; gathering requirements and specifications from users; creating specification documents; opening change management requests; working with HR team to configure enhancements to Workday and other HRIS software and working with IT team to enhance reporting/interfaces when applicable.

Oversee integrity and quality of data through data audits and resolve problems.  Identify and propose opportunities for improving the effectiveness of processes, reports, and integrations.  Perform business process analysis and propose solutions to support process improvement and automation.  Create documentation in support of development efforts and efficient issue resolution.

Provide day-to-day (technical and troubleshooting) support to HR users.  Develop, create and maintain training materials and training programs associated with application (Workday, ImageNow and other HRIS) use.  Deliver training to users as appropriate. 

Develop testing outlines and coordinate or complete testing efforts/review testing results with subject matter experts for final user acceptance.  Update change management system with testing results and approvals.  Troubleshoot adverse changes made by application enhancements, and updates.  Proactively create and update documents regarding processes, workflows and related system activities.

Provide support to other members of HR team as needed. Assist with audit requests and other ad-hoc analysis requests.

Serve as backup to the HRIS Manager creating appropriate user security accesses and system configurations for Workday. Serve as primary administrator to Perceptive ImageNow scanning software. Manage third party bulk scanning company in the indexing, boxing and delivery of imaged HR files.

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of HRIS experience with a clear functional understanding of core HR business practices, processes, and terminology (HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, recruiting, performance management) and ability to develop solutions for the business needs.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to systems. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, determine appropriate solutions and resolve sensitive problems with a focus on automation.
  • Proficiency with MS Work and Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with good follow up skills, flexible, approachable, and responsive/adaptive to rapid change.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills along with excellent organizational skills.
  • Occasional ability to travel; some overnight travel may be required.
  • This position must maintain the confidentiality of protected health information utilized in the course of job duties, in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company procedures.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3 years of HRIS experience.
  • Experience with Workday HCM and/or Workday development tools including Studio and BIRT
  • Experience developing and supporting HR reports and integrations.
  • Experience with custum conversions and interfaces.
