Manager-Operational Technology

Job Purpose:

This position is primarily responsible for the oversight of the operational technology (OT) solutions to ensure ongoing, effective and efficient operations of the environment. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. This position works to strategically design and implement information systems and architectures that support core organizational functions and assure their high availability as well as providing technical leadership in strategic decision making and project planning. This position actively participates in the day-to day operations of the operational technology networks specifically in supporting the mining operations.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Provide project leadership on the various operational technology related efforts throughout the year which encompass other IT team members, third-party vendors and other Arch employees. Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
• Supervise staff by directing their day-to-day activities, perform proactive management of the data and voice network environment, maintain a customer service focus and provide technical leadership. Coach, mentor and develop subordinates. Develop network budget and track expenses to budget.
• Perform system administration activities including serving as system administrator in operational technology discovery tool.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Computer Science, math, engineering, business or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience and working knowledge of various operational technologies.
• 4 years supervisory experience in a technical environment.
• Ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
• 2 years project management experience with demonstrated successful project completion.
• Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to crawl, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs; requires manual dexterity.
• Able to work outside of normal work hours to address emergencies and perform scheduled off-hour activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineering certifications
• Advanced knowledge of Rockwell, Komatsu, Joy, Honeywell, Kanawha Scales, Stratix, Hirschmann.
• Experience with underground and surface networking networks in a mining environment.
• Experience with networking in a WAN environment including wireless, copper, fiber
