Records Clerk

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for maintaining all documents related to the administration of the real estate holdings of Arch Coal, Inc. (ACI) in accordance with ACI's Records Creation, Retention & Destruction Policy to ensure accurate, secure, and easily accessible filing and retrieval of records.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Scan and move all documents to the appropriate files utilizing an Access move program and specific naming convention

Assist the Geology group with scanning and storage of progress maps, proposed wells, geology drill hole data, and other geology related documents

Index and label storage boxes and enter appropriate data into the ACI records database for warehouse storage while adhering to records retention policy

Coordinate retrieval of storage boxes from the warehouse as needed

Create files for fireproof files as needed and coordinate sending them to the warehouse for appropriate storage

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High School education or equivalent
  • One-year experience with scanning and converting documents from Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel to Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications: (Preferred, but not required, to successfully perform the requirements of the job)

  • Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite applications as well as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to Bookmark documents in Adobe Acrobat.
