Senior Analyst, Human Resources
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
Administer the Company's 401(k) and pension plans and other human resources-related programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
401(k) Plan administration:
- Lead role in administering Company's 401(k) plan, including gathering, analyzing and updating necessary information for actuaries, external, and internal auditors
- Responsible for all compliance-related filings and communications
- Gather participation, deferral rates, loan activity, and company stock concentration data
- Prepare related reports, and participate in quarterly Retirement Committee meetings.
- Ensure timely mailing of Summary Annual Report, Annual Fee Disclosure, and QDIA notice
- Update Summary Plan Descriptions, plan amendments, and Summary of Material Modifications as needed.
- Serve as the contact person for participant inquiries
Pension Plans Administration:
- Responsible for the pension plan administration including annual valuations, annual funding mailing, and annual PBCG filing
- Monitor Cash account in pension trust to fund benefit payments
- Monitor pension plans asset allocation to insure compliance with investment
401(k) and pension projects as needed:
- Gather data for further analysis on various topics: plan design, lump-sum cash outs, nondiscrimination testing, LDI strategy, etc.
- Annual proxy statement gather pension and deferred comp plan data needed to update compensation schedules
- Assist in due diligence review of current and prospective investment managers
- Assist in preparation of communication materials for retirement planning seminars, employee presentations, spouse conferences, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of Human Resources-related administration experience.
- 3 years of experience in 401(k) and/or pension plan administration
- Experience using spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, and HRIS.
- Demonstrated understanding of pension laws and regulations.
- Strong organization skills, with strong detail-orientation.
- Ability to handle a high-volume workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other plan-related documents.
- Ability to travel as needed.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in HR, Finance, or other relevant area.
- Understanding of the plan provisions for the various plans that Arch administers.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Experience in working with outside vendors.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and spouses at benefit-related events.
